Since 1954, Skimlite has been a family story–built on hard work, clever ideas, and a genuine love for making tools you can trust. We’re a third-generation, family-owned company proudly manufacturing telescoping poles and pool maintenance equipment for the swimming pool industry, and we’ve never lost sight of what matters most: quality products and even better customer care.

It all started when our founder, Robert Conrad, decided the pool industry deserved something lighter, smarter, and easier to use. That spark led to the industry’s first lightweight pool skimmer and, soon after, the first telescoping pole—the legendary 5008 Twist Lock.

The torch was then passed to Robert’s son, Jim Conrad, who carried that innovation forward with products like the Snaplite and Eliptilock Series. Now, the future is in the hands of Barrett Conrad, who is continuing to grow Skimlite while keeping its family-first spirit alive.
